I guess it may be time for me to post something. At least so I don't get too cussed out. I spent a wonderful week in Orofino this last week. We had sponsored a contest with a distributor for Baicor - Western Farm Service, for the top 2 salesman to get either a fishing trip or a 2-day golf outing. Both chose the fishing trip. The first picture is on the clearwater river from our drift boat. This was on Wednesday and I caught the fish in the 2nd picture on that day. It is about a 33" steelhead. The 3rd picture is of the one I caught on Thursday which we had to release. It wasn't any shorter but was quite a bit heavier than the first one. It is a real hoot to land these big fish. Both of them took some better than 5 minutes to land, they will swim to you then dart away . It was really

quite cold, with the temperature being about 34 degrees but the cold came from the humidity and breeze on the river. The last picture is of an eagle that flew by us then landed in the tree. I am not sure you can see it without zooming in a little. I am off this week to Ames, Iowa and Iowa State University for some educational pursuits so will be gone again. If any of you feel sorry for Mom, give her a call she loves it.

Salmon Fishing

I went to Astoria Oregon this last week and did some Salmon Fishing. I was able to bring 3 nice fish home, had a wonderful time. All told, we caught about 29 fish among three of us, of course most of those you have to release. These are some pictures of the trip. I went with Doyle Morrill and his Grandson from Seattle. Doyle helps me with some of Baicor's research.

We loved having them all here with some of their kids. I will attach some pictures also here of the reunion.

Moving to Meridian

I should also post these pictures, this is the truck that I drove (with Caleb and Elly's help) from Reno to Meridian. It was pretty nice truck and drove very well. We had it loaded to the gills and it was heavy but all made it and not a thing fell off. Right Sara? Chris was just ahead with the van and his RV trailer also loaded to the gills. I don't think you can see the car on the trailer but it is also very full of things. They are all in Meridian now. Thanks Dave for the use of your house while you were away we made ourselves at home.

I guess it is about time I posted something, anything. These are some travels that I have been to in July. I had some time before an appointment a couple of weeks ago in Bancroft Idaho. It is about 11 miles from Chesterfield. Chesterfield was where Sylvester Keller and Esther Jensen were married so I was interested in the restoration. I stopped and visited Denmark Jensens (Esthers father) home that has been restored partially. It is really interesting to see it and how much they have restored in the last few years. They are working on it constantly, there are missionaries or guides there to answer questions. Chesterfield was settled by 12 families that came from Utah via Blackfoot and settled in the cattle country because of the deep grass it grew.

This an old Derrick that they used to stack Hay with. You could stack loose or baled hay by placing the jackson fork into the hay and latching it, when the hay was on the stack you pulled a rope which let it loose. A horse provided the power for it, later a tractor. Also pictured here is the home they lived in.

These pictures are of the inside of the home with a restored stove. At the home they had pictures of the before and after on the stove and it was amazing to see the change.

I made a deal with Chris that I would help them move (drive the truck) if he would take me to Virginia City. I have always wanted to go and it was neat. The only problem was that when we were able to go everything was closed. Oh well, I at least got to go. Caleb is proof of that.

Look what happened in Blackfoot today! It was beautiful - This is spring in Idaho. It seems that all we have had this winter is snow and more snow, I was outside last night looking over the yard and thinking how much I had to do, But no! Winter is not done yet. Maybe this next week.

By the Way, Mom has picked up the pictures from the Idaho Falls photographer, she will be mailing them out as soon as we find who has what. Lots of love

WE have a snowstorm

We are so excited. The wind has been blowing here for about 3 months, OK maybe not but it seems to be so. THis storm hit us about 4:00 this evening and along the ballfield is a "whiteout". To be truthful it is about the first time this winter we have had both snow and wind but it is a "BLIZZARD"! Chris Forgive the pictures but that is about as good as I can get currently.

This is the front Yard - Not much snow but it is all blowing currently - about 30 mph.

and Down the street.
I know you guys are all having it to but I was excited.

The family got together for our Christmas dinner. We had a sit down for 23 people and it was great. Great food and family!
